BS4000LHG Outdoor Barrel Sauna
The longest barrel in the range — 230cm of rustic Red Cedar, built for four people and designed around one key distinction: at 177cm, the interior bench is long enough to lie flat. If you use a sauna to genuinely stretch out rather than sit upright, this is the model to choose.
Like all traditional Finnish-style saunas, the BS4000LHG heats by hot stone convection, not infrared. The included 6kW heater brings the stones to temperature; the barrel form circulates heat naturally, with no corners for it to stall in. Ladle water over the stones to release a sharp burst of steam — the Finnish practice of löyly — and the experience is immediately, unmistakably different from anything a panel-based sauna can offer.
The half-glass upper panel gives you light and a view from inside — the garden, the sky, whatever is there — while the solid lower panel keeps everything private at seated height. Steel banding and a timber skid base. Red light therapy can be added for £999, installed at the same time as the sauna by the same team.
