BS8000 Outdoor Half-Glass Barrel Sauna
The BS8000 is the largest barrel sauna we sell — and the only one in the range that includes a separate changing room within its length. That 100cm anteroom is what makes a barrel sauna genuinely usable through a British winter: somewhere to leave a robe and let a towel dry, and a thermal buffer that stops the sauna room losing its heat every time the outer door opens.
Panoramic tinted glazing. The upper front half of the barrel is glazed in tinted glass — light and a view from inside, but privacy at seated height from outside. The lower panel is solid timber. Steel banding and a timber skid base complete the structure in rustic Red Cedar.
Traditional hot-stone heat. A 6kW heater is included as standard. The stones radiate heat naturally, and the curved walls of a barrel circulate it without the cold corners a square cabin can suffer. Löyly-capable — ladle water across the stones and the humidity lifts sharply for a proper Finnish session. Higher-output heaters, including Wi-Fi models, are available as priced upgrades.
Red light therapy upgrade available. Add a full red light installation for £999, fitted on the same day.

Frequently asked questions
How are barrel sauna dimensions measured?
Barrel saunas are measured differently from square cabins. The three figures are: total length, diameter at the widest point, and height to the ridge. We will confirm usable interior space for your household during your consultation.
Does the changing room stay warm?
The changing room is a separate space from the sauna room, accessed via the outer door. It provides a warm transition zone and prevents the sauna room losing heat every time the door is opened — particularly valuable in winter.
What electrical supply is needed?
A 32A dedicated circuit for the 6kW heater. We will confirm at the pre-installation assessment. Electrical connection must be by a qualified Part P electrician.
Can I have this without the changing room?
The BS8000 is built with the integrated changing room as standard — it is part of what makes this the right barrel for family or social bathing. If a smaller barrel suits your space better, we also carry the BS6000L. Ask us which suits your dimensions.
Built to last. Guaranteed for life.
Every Medi-Spa sauna carries a full lifetime guarantee on structural defects — the frame, cladding, benching, and glass, for as long as you own it. Electrical items are covered for 2 years as standard.
0% finance available — subject to status. T&Cs apply.
* Pre-installation assessments are carried out in person for clients within our local area. For clients further afield, we conduct a thorough remote assessment using photos, video and plans — at no charge and with no obligation to proceed.
